I grew up in Gothenburg, where I have worked as a textile teacher, designer, and artist since 1980. Since 2018, I have been based in Onsala, where, after a pause during my relocation, I have returned to full artistic practice.
Nature remains my greatest source of inspiration – whether in the forest, by the sea, on the cliffs, or in close encounters with animals, I find the sense of magic that continually fuels my creativity.
My fascination with textiles began early in childhood, surrounded by a mother and four aunts who always had needle, thread, or yarn in their hands. That world soon became mine, and throughout my artistic journey I have continually returned to the richness and diversity of textile expression.
My works often originate in nature, through a walk with a camera in hand or a sketch made on site. From there, the materials take over – sometimes with subtlety, other times with a spirit of experimentation. I enjoy blending techniques such as natural dyeing, textile printing, and embroidery into layered, collage-like forms.
Over the years, my art has been presented at Borås Art Gallery, Form/Design Center in Malmö, as well as in several galleries across Gothenburg and Halland. For a period, I also ran my own gallery in the harbor of Gottskär. Above all, my intention is for the work to meet people, stir something within, and invite them on a personal journey through color, form, and nature-inspired traces.
